Some mornings on Pantai Mertasari look open from the path. The water is still. The light is early. That is not the same as a morning for surf foil. With Baby Reef Sanur, foil is the session that waits — it runs with the crew when the water is right, not as a walk-up because you are already on the sand.
This is a lineup note, not the booking page. The session itself lives on surf foil. Same walk as surf school and snorkeling. Different water, different ask.
Foil is not the default morning
Surf school is the session a lot of people write about first. Snorkeling is the other view from the same beach. Surf foil sits next to both, and it is the one the crew will not confirm until they have looked at the day with you.
That is the whole point of this note. If you want foil, say foil. Then wait. A glassy photo from a hotel balcony is not a yes.
Message first. Name surf foil. Wait for the crew to say the water fits.
What “when the water is right” actually means
It means the crew decides with you. It does not mean every Sanur morning. It does not mean a promise written into a message before anyone has seen the water. Availability is checked around the days you are here.
We do not list a price on this page. WhatsApp, call, or email, and we talk the session through. Full enquiry notes sit on the surf foil page.
What to send when you write
- That you want surf foil — not surf school, not snorkeling.
- Which morning you are in Sanur, as best you know it.
- A way to reach you if you write by email: suandababyreef@gmail.com.
Phone and WhatsApp: 0813-3756-6623. The contact page has the same details if you would rather start there.
Same beach, different session
You still meet on Pantai Mertasari. Baby Reef Sanur runs from here because this is where the crew already is. One walk down. If you are staying in Sanur, you do not need a second location in the story.
What changes is the ask. Foil is not the same as a board under your feet in surf school, and it is not snorkeling. If you write “I want to go out,” the crew still has to guess. Name the session.
The order that saves a round of messages
Send the note. Hear back. Then walk down. Do not assume the morning works because the beach looks quiet. The crew will tell you straight.
If you want another session instead
Some people write for foil and end up on a surf school morning. Some only wanted snorkeling from the same base. Both are fine — say so. Read mornings on a board, look at the gallery, or read who the crew is.
The path does not change. Message first. Hear back. Then walk down to Pantai Mertasari. Other lineup notes live on the blog.
Until then: ask what the water is doing. Foil waits for the right morning.
